Default possible job offer - best way to get a visa?

I am a UK citizen, married to a US citizen, and we both currently live in UK. I am in USA on holiday, and I have a job interview next week. I was thinking about applying for a visa via the DCF route in London, but as this takes 3 or 4 months - is there any other way which would enable me to start work quicker? (i.e. applying in US?) I know the question about visa/timescales will come up at the job interview.

Thanks in advance...
