Seems moot if the Parents are a deal breaker.

Agree..... wonder if the OP has had the conversation with his/her parents regarding they have a great opportunity, but that parents cannot go with them - however 6 months out of the year they could visit.
Maybe parents don't know that emigrating with their son/daughter is not possible.(well certainly not for years)

When I booked travel insurance for my 80+ MIL I could only get coverage for 28 days. As people age...it gets more expensive, there are more conditions and it gets harder to find a company to cover 70/75/80/85 yr olds.

Yes true..... one gets caught either way you go. If the parents could get a visa then medical insurance is going to be VERY expensive at their age (even of they qualified for subsidies with ACA); and if visiting, travel medical insurance is expensive (if you can get it as you say). M

Maybe that's why friends of ours only come for 3 weeks at a time - both 70 year old.

My 84 yr old MIL came for just over 2 weeks...$1K for travel insurance. Also have to make sure you notify the insurance company of any change in health or meds. If it is within 3 months of travel they will most probably cancel the insurance. If you don’t notify them...you are travelling with invalid insurance.

Honestly don't see why the OP needs to bring his Mum and Dad with them to the US. The visa they will enter on will be an L visa which is only temporary. They will be returning the UK in a few years. During those few years, Mum and Dad are enjoying their senior lives with friends and neighbors, healthcare, services, social activities, etc. When the OP and family return to the UK, if Mum and Dad have suffered major illnesses, they can then take care of them or at least place in care homes that they can visit regularly.

I understand that the OP might want to remain in the US permanently but at his age and with a youngish family, it is rather doubtful. And something they really need to think about is that parents often outlive their children. What will happen to Mum and Dad if the OP dies before their do.

From the OP's posts they are looking at this as a permanent move; and the L visa is dual intention so they can apply for a Green card in the future.

they might not even like living in the US! and then you'll be very glad you did not give up on your ambitions to try and accommodate them.
This

It would be crazy to take them to the US.

Location: Worcestershire
Leave them in the UK where the NHS can take care of them
