Default Possibilities & Questions

Hi everyone - any advice you can give me here will be appreciated.

I am currently living in the UK and hold dual citizenship (British &
Australian). I have been in contact with someone in Utah for some time
via emails and telephone calls, and it is getting to the stage where
we feel we would like to meet to see if there is any "sparks" that
would lead to a marriage.

What are the best options here:
do I come on over and see if there are the "sparks" and then come back
to the UK whilst he applies for a visa? and any ideas on the time
frame for this?

do we tie the knot before my 3 month visa expires? (if there are these
darn "sparks") and then apply for the visa?

what do I need to do to be able to work in the US after I am married?
("sparks" apply again *smile*)

is there anything that I am not thinking of?

Thanks

Ah-the world of internet romance... if there are sparks, embers or good
ole fashioned campus conflagrations, keep in mind the modus operandi. Do you
want to get married in a quickie drive through? or have a bash with family, etc

Three months is not enough time. I don't know if intent matters on the VWP,
but you may have a hard time convincing BCIS that you came over for "tourism"
and got married in a few weeks!

The best thing would be to see if there is anything, then go back home. Make
all wedding arrangements and apply for a fiancee visa. Then come over to the US
and marry.
