Police records
My room mate's fiance spent 6 months in jail/prison a few years back for
getting into a fight with his employer. I'm not looking forward to his coming
to stay with us. The I129 has already been approved from this end. What will
this do to his chances of coming to the U.S?

He will need a police report from every country he has lived in, since
age 16, I believe.
If it shows up on his police report, then she will probably be your ex
roommate long before he gets into the US. He will probably need a waiver.
I think you should go searching for another roommate.

If he's denied a visa, I think he can apply for a waiver or something to that
effect.
