Philippines
Hello all,
Well my former fiancé decided not to come here because her former English boyfriend
landed the casino manager job at her casino in Bucharest. What a stupid move she did!
Anyway I am talking with a girl from the Philippines (here we go again...) and I was
wondering about the K-1 processing times from First NOA until the approval of the
petition and the scheduling of the interview.
Anyone?
Ken

Re: Philippines
It appears that you may have been blessed by your former fiance's decission.
Anyhow, I have been to the Philippines twice, Cebu and Manila. I think the women in Manila are better looking. It's been my experience that these lovely women are very faithful and loyal to their boyfriends and husbands. You might even say fiercely loyal!
I mailed in my petition to the Texas service center on Feb 27 and I received the approval notice on April 12. Unfortunately my fiance'es visa application has been bogged down in an administrative review. But I've heard that this is not uncommon because there's so much visa fraud in the Philippines. If everything would have went as planned, she would have received her visa on may 30.
I hope you have better luck than me!

Re: Philippines
Hi, I met my fiancée in the Philippines and mailed my petition to the NSC on Feb. 25.
I received my 2nd NOA with approval on April 11. She received her Visa on June 24th,
and arrived here in the USA on July 5th. We are getting married on July 22!! We are
both very happy, and hope our AOS goes as well as the first part of the process has
been. I hope that everyone else that is going through this process can be as happy as
we are. Good luck everyone!! Bill

Hi Ken,
I'm not an expert but I've been petitioned for a K1 Visa(Still waiting here). And
from what I've learned, the time frame would depend on the Service Center you are
going to send your application. You may check out some web sites for the processing
times. Here's one web site you may want to check out:
http://www.davehollis.com/k1/list.ph...daycount&dir=1
There's no more interview for those applying for a K1 Visa (in the Philippines).
Unless, it is deemed necessary by the US Embassy in Manila. After the 2nd NOA, you go
to St. Luke's for the medical exam and then drop off the paperwork. The paperwork is
then forwarded to the US Embassy where they will review it. After the evaluation,
it's either you get a visa or not.
Good Luck and God Bless!

Re: Philippines
We submitted our K-3 packet to St Lukes Medical Center in Manila on Jan 30, 2002...we
too are bogged down in an "Administrative Review"...and nothing I've done seems to
get them off dead center...letters from Congressmen and Senators...continued phone
calls and faxes...letters and faxes to the "team" who is processing our
case...letters to the consular officer's boss who is processing the case...and
letters to the bureau chief asking them to expedite our case have all fallen on deaf
ears...we filed additional paperwork when asked for additional evidence and promptly
lost our place in line...the evidence requested was not on the original Embassy
checklist so it doesn't seem fair we should lose our place in line...they have us all
"over a barrell" and all right by the [email protected] suck it up and deal with it...best
of luck to everyone...you'll need it...

Re: Philippines
My fiance's case is also under administrative review. I've been told the foreign fiance's age has a lot to do with them being targeted with a review. A lady she met at St. Lukes falsified her age and all of her documents by bribing filipino officials. Her American fiance made a mistake on the G-325.....he put her age down as minus 10 years, so instead of 31 she's now 21 and got her visa in 2 weeks.
Honestly, I feel like flying to Manila and giving a good tongue lashing to those Filipino employees and American consulates. Those officials are screwing with people's lives and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it.
