Philippine tourist visa to USA ?
If a person is here from the Philippines on a visitor visa. We have been
told that a 6 mo. extension can be filed. only one. Before a yr. is up
this person has to leave the USA. Does this person have to return to the
Philippines or Can she go to Canada or Mex. and return to USA for
another 1 yr. The visa stamped in her passport in the Philippines is
good for 10 years.
Thanks in advance Bob Nance

It is doubtful that a person could go to Canada or Mexico and receive
another year entry. Such "flagpoling", as it has been called, is caught
easily. And if the attempt is made the person could be stuck in Canada
or forced to return home.
