Default From Permanent Resident to Citizen ?

Hi there,

I've been married to my wife for over 3 years now and I'll be a
Permanent Resident in a two months by the looks of things. How long
will it take me to become a Citizen?

Are you getting your PR based on your marriage to your wife? If you did is your wife a PR or a Citizen, It all makes a difference

You can apply for naturalization three years less 90 days after your
green card is issued. Plan on another one to two years after that to
complete the naturalization process.

You may be able to apply 2 years and 9 months after becoming a Permanent
Resident. After sending your N-400 to CIS it may take from 6 months
to 2 years.

It will not just happen to you from green card holder to citizen
You have to follow the INS regulations and pass the citizen test
you should go to google and do a simple search for immigration website
for such regulations
