Pending I-751 petition at TSC: INS Direct says "file not found";

Folks,
Questions for all those who have submitted I-751 petition to Texas Service Center in
the last few months ...
My wife and I received first NOA dated 08/20/01 in early October 2001. On November
24, 2001, I called INS Direct line at TSC (214-381-1423) and entered the receipt
number using my phone.
The answer was very puzzling ... "file not found".
Were you able to check the status your file recently?
