Can someone tell me if the entire family has to be present for passport stamping (485
approval) or can one person get it done. How about getting the lawyers representative
getting the same done.

Each person whose I-485 is approved has to get it done in person. That is because at
that time, they also take your fingerprint (right thumb only).
