PANIC - NVC sending file to wrong embassy

PANIC - NVC sending file to wrong embassy
Anyone have any similar experiences, or able to offer calming words of wisdom?
I called the NVC line for the 23.549th time today and finally got through... the nice lady confirmed that my file had arrived, but then also confirmed that i was heading for DUBLIN!!!
I told her that someone had obviously got Northern Ireland mixed up with plain old Ireland, and that NI is dealt with by London... so she spoke to her supervisor and came back to tell me that they were going to do their best to change it to London before it went out.
Now Dublin would be MUCH easier for me to go through (no flights etc), but she explained that you have to go thru the embassy that deals with your country of residence - that being N.Ireland - I have to go to London.
She said that if they can't get it changed in time (WHY CAN'T THEY?!?!) then they'll take responsibility for it and send a note to Dublin to shift it to London... but as with everything this will take 'time'...
*sigh*

Actually, you could get it in Dublin if the Dublin's consulate would
allow you to. If the file arrive to Dublin, than the consulate MAY
allow you to interview there.
It is written on the I-129F, you can choose any US consulate but that
"Designation of a U.S. embassy or consulate outside the country of your
fiancé(e)'s last residence does not guarantee acceptance for
processing by that foreign post. Acceptance is at the discretion of the
designated embassy or consulate."
Ok, that was theory. I don't know how it play into practice

panic over - I called NVC again tonight, and not only have they made the change to make sure it gets to London, but they were also able to give me a case number...
now what do I do with it? is there any way I can email london and tell them my file is on route and get them to send me my packet 3 out quicker?

But you don't really need the actual packet 3
