Overestimated timescales..

Overestimated timescales..
At my AOS Sept 16th, I was told to expect my GC in 6-9 mo's..
After reading several threads on here though, it seems people were told it would take as long as 12 mo's.. and yet everyone seems to be getting them in around a month..
I'm out of the office in Manchester NH, so I'm going through VSC. Has anyone had any recent experience with them in this area?
I mean I can wait 9 months.. I did it once.. (Shameless bragging about beautiful baby daughter).. and waited even longer for the INS before.. but I'm just curious to get a realistic time estimate..
