Congrats My I-130 was also touched a couple of days ago - in fact it's been touched twice in the last couple of weeks! Just hoping that this is an indication that they will complete processing soon!

Thanks!

What little it takes to make us happy ... Congratulations on the date change!

Better calm down. My son had his case "touched" twice, but nothing happened
that we could see. The approved I130 is presently hijacked by CA office,
but the I129F just got approved and we are hoping to get them reunited
before their anneversery the end of March. Could be in as little as 3
weeks, but mail takes a month and a half to get where she is. Hoping the
case is cabled to the consulate and she can pick it up there, the same
office that threatened my son to leave the country and abandon his wife or
they would reject the visa (no legal grounds for this per attorney, could
get some big bucks because of this, but that wouldn't speed up the case at
all). Otherwise it could take months to complete. He also never received
any email notifying him of any changes, despite requesting such on the web
site.

I was exhausted when previously responding to your post and was not thinking
completely. I hope this is a major touch for you. It seems you are working
through England and they are pretty good there for giving info (quite
helpful and friendly, too) and following procedures from what I have seen.
If you are working through any office but CA you should be moving along at a
good pace if this was indeed your approval. If it was CA then expect a
delay of several months and an additional $195 of extortion money for them
to release the approval to the NVC. Per our US Senator, many people have
been having trouble with CA office not following procedures and
unnecessarily and possibly illegally holding up processing by 6 months or
more.

Again, I hope this was a full "touch" and not just some shuffling.

The USCIS website still show the application as being touched on 2/2/05, however I received the NOA2 approval for the I-130 on 2/4/05 via mail and the approval date on the paper is 2/1/05.

I hope there will be no delay for them sending the paperwork on to NVC.

Thanks

That's good news. It isn't unusual for the online approval and approval notice to be at odds on dates. Seen quite a few posters have this happen to them. The letter they sent you is the most important part. Thats your absolute proof. (As absolute as anything can be in this situation )

AFAIK, the date on the website is the date of upload from CLAIMS; the
notice date is the date the notice prints and is added by the software
at time of print.

The "action date" should be the same on both unless there is some kind
of software glitch between CLAIMS and whatever feeds the website's back end.

Thats good to know.
We are still waiting to hear from NVC. I assume that they will be sending my husband the "Agent Assignment Letter" and then I will be billed for some of the forms.
I am at least very glad to know that I-130 is approved so we can get on with the rest of this immigration.
Everyone on this forum has been very helpful.
