Default Orlando experience for 10yr GC

I had gone online and made the infopass appointment, and assumed because
Robyn was included on my application for removal of conditions that he would
be able to just go with me.
We arrived at 9:15 for our 9:30 appointment and were let in in a timely
fashion. There was quite a line up behind us though! We passed through
security, and were told to go to the infopass window. I was handed #52 and
didn't even have time to sit down before it was flashing on the "now
serving" board.
I handed our passports and greencards over to Officer W. Jackson, who
informed me that Robyn should have had an appointment made for him also. I
didn't argue, but my heart was sinking when he directed me to go back to the
Infopass window to see what they could do for me. So I trotted back over to
the Infopass window, where the young man there handed me ticket #53, and it
was back to Officer Jackson, who in the meantime, had continued to process
Robyn. We chatted a bit, and were done in less than a half hour. He was
even kind enough to make me a temporary green card, since my passport is
still in my other name, and I carry a marriage certificate to show I am now
Bonnie French.
The letter had stated three pics, and since most passport pics come packaged
in twos we each had four. We only used two of Robyn's but it was a small
price to pay for peach of mind, and I had an extra for the temporary card.
I have never had a problem with the Orlando office. We have always been
processed in a very professional manner, and each time walked out amazed
that it hadn't taken longer. I was concerned that he kept my removal of
conditions receipt. And I picked up the N400 paperwork before I left. He
told me that I can apply now, but without a greencard to photocopy(which is
one of the requirements right?), I guess I will wait til it comes in the
mail. The little piece of paper stapled to the paperwork notes the price of
$390, so that will give us some time to save up for it.
Bonnie
