Oh no. There were never any laws in, say, Maryland, that said that a Jew should be

Look at Africa, all kinds of tribal/ethnic conflict. Even after 80 years, the various
factions in what was Yugoslavia couldn't resolve their differences and finally had to
separate. Only communist totalitarianism kept things under control. But I don't want
to live in that kind of police state society and that's what is necessary to
manintain order in a hodgepodge country.
