Default One way ticket on E3 visa

Hi,

I have got my E3 visa. I read online that there may be some issues
at the port of entry if I enter with a one way ticket. Is this true ?
Visa is valid for 2 years. Can't possibly book a ticket 2 years in advance.

Regards

One way is fine for a work classification.

We traveled on a one way 3 years ago on an E-3/E-3D, no troubles.

It's true depending on the type of visa you have. For an E-3 visa, it's not true. However, it's often far less expensive to purchase a round-trip ticket and simply not use the return portion.

Thank you all for the replies. I conclude all good with the one way ticket.
My employer is paying for a one way ticket, so that is covered.

Thanks.
