Old Social Security Number
As a student on the BUNAC Work America programme, I had a J1 when I worked in Virginia Beach for the summers during my 2/3rd years. I was issued with a SSN, I have since lost the card and hence a record of it.
When I transfer on an L1, will I be issued with a new number or should I try to retrieve this old number? Does it matter? Thanks.

You just have to tell them you already had one. I was in the same situation, they just looked it up and gave me a new card when I moved here with a K-1.
