Does anyone know how long it usually takes from getting the 2 noa untill nvc sends the visa packet to the consulate

i called nvc today said they just recieved my wifes visa on 28 mar
it was approved my msc on 18 march they gave me the case number and told me will take another 2 to 4 weeks is this average or ?????? and what do i need the case number for


MY TIMELINE

SEPT 25 MARRIED NAKON RATCHASIMA THAILAND
30 DEC O2 SUBMITTED I-130 FOR WIFE AND SON
7 JAN O3 RECEIVED FIRST NOA FOR I-130
JAN 20 03 SUBMITTED I-129 FOR K3/K4 VISA
31 JAN RECEIVED FIRST NOA FOR I-129F
18 MAR 03 RECEIVED 2ND NOA FOR I-129F
AWAITING NVC TO FORWARD TO BANGKOK

Hi !
My 2nd NOA is 3/18 as well. I just received in the mail today a letter from NVC stating that my case has reached them and it will take a week to send to my Embassy (London)

The letter is dated 3/28.

I hope they are truthful in saying 1 week.

NVC received my petition from TSC 3/24
I also received a letter from NVC today dated 3/28/03 stating it would be sending my petition to the embassy WITHIN a week.
I called them today and they said they had sent it to the embassy on the 28th.
I will let you know when it gets to the embassy.
After the long wait with TSC, this is FAST !

Did they ever send you a processing fee bill along with the Affidavit of
Support (I-864). According to the NVC website they send this and you must
pay for it before they send your paperwork to the Embassy. It seems this
would take more than a week to complete this process but I've only heard a
few people mention it.

NOPE that is for the I-130 IMMIGRANT VISA! This does not apply for the k visas!

you have to do this for immigrant visas NOT nonimmigrant visas. the K visas are non immigrant visas!

I filed a I-129F (fiance visa) and use I-134 affidavite of support. In my case, I fill it out and send it to my fiancee, she takes it to the embassy. The NVC gets the petitions in about 2 weeks from the service center. They have been taking aprox. 1 week to enter in the computer and send them to the embassy. Forget 2-4 weeks. So far this is what I've been seeing. Tomorrow things may change. This is what they are doing now. Hope this helps. Terry
