I don't believe so. Certainly not on the basis of recent postings on this forum. Your relative is definitely going to lose out on that trip to the States unfortunately.

Recently, it has been taking 25-30 weeks.

My husband got his "email" about two days ago to say he's been approved. His interview was in early January so it took about 17 weeks. We don't have his passport back yet :fingerscrossed: as now we have to pay a fee of US$25 before they finish processing it and send it back.
In the past couple of weeks we have emailed them and phoned them multiple times requesting urgent approval because we are due to fly out on May 23.
Wishing everyone a speedy approval!

of checking?

Glad you got your through & have a fab holiday.

What email address did you use? What number did you call, and who did you ask to talk too? How did you convince them that your booking a holiday prior to having visa was actually urgent?

This is information that if valid would be of use to others that are/were in your position.

We emailed [email protected] and my mother-in-law rang the phone number three times every couple of day they are listed on the embassy website http://london.usembassy.gov/mobile/v...formation.html and I think are these ones. She believes it was a call centre in Asia. But she was very nice and pleasant and just requested they send an email requesting urgent approval, she told the truth that she really wanted her son to come on the family holiday, that she believed he was a good man and a good father.

[email protected] has this auto response!

ATTENTION: This mailbox will be shut down for required maintenance. No inquires will be responded to until further notice.

And I dont know of anyway to ring the £1.50 per min line and speed up a waiver application. Mystery!

The call center is in Scotland... but y'know, one foreign accent is much the same as another, eh!

Excellent. All that patient waiting paid off in the end! Will be interesting to see what sort of validity you get this time as it's your, what, 3rd waiver now?

The email doesn't contain that information, just instruction on how to contact DX Secure to arrange the collection and return. It generally takes around 10-14 days.
