Thanks, I feel it should be ok too. However the timeline is a big problem for me, as I need to travel to the US for work.
we are all in the same boat here though, wish you all the best. |

I’ve been through my process now! Same as you I had to go for work! Start to finish it was about 12 months in reality. Got my waiver for 5 years. It teaches you patience, that’s for sure. Good luck

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi there
I was approved a waiver for b1/2 about 20 years ago. Applied for visa in Oct 2024 in Dublin and awaiting waiver. Since I've applied I've moved to Canada. I have an Irish and British passport. Anyone know what to do for passport request when it comes? Can I send direct to the passport request address with return courier to Canada? Could I send to family member back home once requested? Is it possible to have the application transferred to Canada and do the passport processing here? Thanks for suggestions. |

I had to fly to Dublin to post my passport locally via DPD and then I had to fly back to retrieve my passport as they will not post your completed visa (passport) outside of Ireland. If you have family in Ireland I suggest doing through them. Send you passport to family in Ireland, they post if for you via DPD (free service from the embassy), have the passport returned to either your family address or get a family member to collect it for you and post it on to Canada. |
Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Well I am truly concerned about the feedback I have read. I applied July 24 and obviously still waiting for visa issuance. I was told up to 6 months, reading elsewhere up to 9 months and now this forum says practically a year 😠my case is so simple too! I hope its here before May.

I had my interview on June 26, my offence was petty and over 35 years ago, I have no doubt I will get my visa but still waiting. I hope to get mine by mid April but not banking on it. |
Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Yes mine was petty also, that petty it shouldnt even be a thing 13 years down the track! This is my 2nd visa. I really dont understand how the consulate told me up to 6 months, Im a week out and most cases are taking 8-12 months. Im banking on March / April or Im going to have to pull pin!

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
It’s my first waiver but I have previously been rejected twice at the embassy and not been recommended for a waiver. This is my first time I have been recommended. One thing I would say is that I done my application via a attorney and I think this helps a lot
