Default New Law ? & Next Visa Lottery Date ?

Folks:

I have two quick questions:

* Someone told me that President Bush is getting ready to sign legislation
to legalize certain categories of people living in the USA for the past 5
years and who may be in school.
Is there any truth to this statement. If so then please explain further
and if possible provide a link or two for reference.

* I want to take part in the next Visa Lottery. When are applications
being accepted ?

Thanks,
John.

What's your nationality?

Also note that you can't enter the green card lottery from within the US.
You have to go back to your country first.

Yes you can enter it, it is done online.
The Department of State will only accept completed Electronic Diversity Visa
Entry Forms submitted electronically at http://www.dvlottery.state.gov
during the 60 day registration period beginning November 1, 2003.

Default New Law ?

Folks:

Thanks a lot for the answer to the Visa Lottery question.

I would be very happy if someone can address question number one. Here it
is again.

* Someone told me that President Bush is getting ready to sign legislation
to legalize certain categories of people living in the USA for the past
5
years and who may be in school. Is there any truth to this statement.
If so then please explain further and if possible provide a link or two
for
reference.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
John.
