filing out the final few questions on my I129 and now have been informed
(despite previously asking my green card lawyer) that since i have
already filed my I140 for my green card, i now have to answer YES on
question 7 of my I129 (have you ever file an immigrant petition for any
person in this peition?)

well answering "yes" isnt a problem, but i need to know what information
i need to put on the attached paper to explain this??

please help!!! i have almost this whole thing figured out and complete
save for this. thanks, caper.

I guess you're doing the paperwork yourself. My wife renewed her H1B last year with the box ticked (Labor Certification in process at the time) for the actual visa application from the consulate (not I129 as such) and it didn't seem to make any difference to the application. I don't recall including any additional paperwork in the application at all to explain why it was ticked.

I would have thought the notes from the BCIS on the I129 application should have given guidance on any additional information to include. Failing that, it might be worth spending the cash to ask a lawyer who knows his stuff, not all do I'm afraid.
