Default Need advice on Citizenship application

I have lived in the USA for almost 12 years, out of which 6 years as
undocumented worker. I became permanent resident in 1997 september with
Family sponsorship, and now its almost time to make citizenship application.
However, there is a problem:
Back in 1991, I had a brief encounter with Law enforcement. Without getting
into details, A woman at my then workplace charged 'stalking' against me. As
a result the police in my county arrested me with a Misdeamenor charge. I
was bailed out and in court, the judge put me on probation. I never had any
more encounters with law enforcement. I think my records were erased because
of my clean record during probation.
I know I have to write in the Naturalization form that I was arrested. My
question is, what are my chances of getting UScitizenship and should I take
help from a local Immigration Lawyer?.
Thanks.

IMHO if this was going to be a problem, then it would have been a problem in 1997 when you became an LPR. BUT you must givee all the details on your N400 application
