Vermont has always been faster from what I have seen. I just wish Nebraska would be the same.

Thanks Matthew - that cleared up a number of things.

I did not realize that 129's were also used for workers - but there it is there now
on their report (at: http://www.shusterman.com/nsc.html) . Non-immigrant workers.
Which of course makes one wonder where the 129F's are since they are not 'workers' or
H1-B and it is kind of a semi-immigrant (since the end-result would be the
immirgration of the fiancee via AOS....).

Has anyone heard of NSC being shutdown for 3 weeks to update system??? Therefore creating longer wait times? We filed our petition May 6th, going into the 8th week now of waiting.

I heard that too about it being shut down for 3 weeks cause of that new background check thing they started. The only thing I had heard was that they started that background check in April which would add around 30 days to your petition being processed but didnt hear anything on them shutting down. I think if that would have been the case, it would have been posted here or on Doc Steen's BB. I think someone was misinformed.
