Naturalization timeline (Vermont/Newark)
Hi,
I got my Certification of Naturalization today, and I thought I would
post a timeline to this group, just so that other people have an idea
of how fast/slow things are running in this part of the country --
Vermont Service Center / Newark, NJ District Office. I am single
without kids.
Oct. 17, 2005
Mailed application with fees. I didn't know one can apply up to 6
months before the 5-year period as permanent resident. I applied as
soon as I found that out.
Oct. 24, 2005
Priority Date. Letter with Priority Date was mailed by them Nov. 3,
2005
Nov. 7, 2005
Completed 5-year period as permanent resident.
Nov. 17, 2005
Received Fingerprint Notification
Dec. 2, 2005
Fingerprint appointment
April 19, 2006
Interview and Oath Cerimony.
Good luck to all!
ZZ

It's 90 days before - not 6 months.
