When did you have your interview?

Thanks!
April 27, 2004. In my case interviewer only told me that some
security check still needs to be completed. There was no
talk about specifics (he didn't even mention what kind
of check it was). I have found out the status of my name
check by faxing to FBI Records Division.

One strange thing is that I got two documents after the interview. One says that I passed tests and no decision can be made yet about my application. It also says "follow instructions on form N-14".

The other document (probably N-14) but I'm not sure says no action required on my part. And the box "Other" is checked and there it is handwriting of the officer "ADMIN". Anybody knows what it is?

You wrote: «My name check had a hit in the database (there was a word "error" there) so they have to do it again. My question: where did you see the word “error? Was it on a document in your file? Was it on computer screen? May be you were told that there is an “error but didn’t see it yourself?

Thank you.

The officer had a folder with all the documents related to the interview - N400, fingerprints, name check. He went through my N400 and was going to say "Congratulations" but then he turned a page. On the next page there was a word "ERROR" against my name. He didn't show it to me but I could see it from where I was. He said that sorry but we have to redo your name check.

Hope this helps. If any more questions, please let me know.

Thanks N400LA !

I do have another question for you.
What did you write in the “Middle name line of N-400:
1. your full otchestvo;
2. the fist letter (an initial) of your otchestvo;
3. nothing (left blank)?

The interviewer told me that the delay in my name check process has something to do with the way I wrote my middle name (otchestvo) in N-400.

I didn't put anything in the middle name - I left it blank. I don't think my delay is because of that because I consistently didn't use my otchestvo in all the documents from the beginning of my immigration...

My theory is that young not married males under age of let's say 35, are a subject to additional security screenings...

This is my timeline, so far:

June 8 BCIS CSC received my package
July 8 Fingerprints taken in Santa Ana, CA.

I live in Orange County, Cal. Any recent experiences? When should I expect to have my interview?
