Hi,
I applied for citizenship in Houston, TX.
9/11/2012 - Form mailed
10/11/2012 - Fingerprints done
11/12/2012 - Received email that I was placed in line to schedule the interview.
Now here is what it says:
On November 12, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 90 days of the date above, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.
I looked online and it looks like most people have interview about 2-3 months after fingerprints (in Houston).
Now my question is: what if my letter was lost and I am scheduled for interview in few days and I have no clue? Why would they schedule people in a month or two and tell us that we should only call them if there's been more than 90 days?
Or do they send notification once I am scheduled for interview?
Thanks!

Well, sorry guys. After some google research it looks like they do notify you when you're scheduled. So that answers my questions.

Am i misinterpreting the website, or is Hartford CT really months behind processing N400's?
(Been waiting on the 90 day thing since Sep 19th)

I hope I'm just mis-understanding what that means.
Congrats on getting yours! When is it scheduled?

Other than that, just looking forward to having it all settled once and for all.

Just the email. Will let you know.Ian, while it is not urgent per se, we do want to get it over with. My main concern is work travel (to Asia) that I have coming up which I am holding off until I know my interview date. I hear if you change your interview date it may delay the process significantly.
Also, I won't need visa to that country if I get my citizenship.
