Yup... that's what it says. By that reasoning, if you went from Detroit to Windsor on Saturday and returned on Sunday, then you never actually left the US.
I suggest it really only matters if someone is cutting a very fine line with respect to the physical presence requirement.

I also agree that for most people it does not matter but could be vital to others.

I know lostlove she is so nice to everyone on here. Poppy I have a news for you. My immigration attorney said, when I get the charges dismissed it won't stop anything from applying for my N-400 in 9 months. Also he said he had many many cases even convicted ones, that were approved at the interview. He gave me an example of some guy here from University of Florida who got charged with battery for a NASTY bar fight and convicted 18 months probation and was approved and just got his oath ceremony letter, so just because you do something dumb (in my case I have not done anything wrong) that's why charges are being dropped , doesn't always mean deportation or denial for citizenship. Excited lol...I would not go that far just want to get it over with, its been along while coming and many bumps on the way.
