Does anyone have the N-400 timeline for applications filed at the Texas Service
Centre recently?.
I live in Atlanta and filed at the TSC on 11/1/2000. Notice of action received with
priority date of 11/8/2000. I had my fingerprinting done on 12/29/2000. But since
then there has been no news from the TSC. Anyone else in a similar situation as mine?
would like to hear from you.
Thanks, Bala.

Local office is Chicago. I have no idea why. BH

It looks like Atlanta office is slightly overloaded.
There are two steps involved
1) Applications are shipped from TSC to Atlanta when Atlanta requests more
applications from TSC. This is done in batches and an application may be in
any batch.
2) Once the application is in Atlanta, most likely a computer schedules appropriate
bactches at aprropriate time. The process may be manual also -- I don't know.
If you are not in a hurry -- your application will be scheduled eventually
after a while.
One can attempt to call TSC 214-381-1423 which is extremely busy during the day time.
The wait time may be like 30/45 minutes before one can talk to an Immigration
officer. They can look at the computer and can confirm if the application is in TSC
or if it has been transferred to Atlanta.
You can always go to the local Atlanta INS office ( 77 Forsyth street ) early in the
morning ( 6 or 6-30 ), stand in the line, take a ticket and ask the customer service
about the status of your application. They will give you some information like wheter
it is in Atlanta or not.
Always there are some guys whose cases have been processed within
3/9 months. However, many applicants are going through a longer wait time.
Hopefully it will become faster soon.
