N - 400, questions on process
Greetings all:
I sent in my application and I have couple of questions on what's next -
1. I presume I am going to get a NOA, which will tell me to go get my fingerprinting done, correct?
2. I saw in some posts a "priority date" with context to the NOA...I am not really certain what that is
3. I presume the NOA will give me an application number that I can use to track the progress. Correct? If not, how do I go about getting one?
Any input would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

1. You should get NOA (Notice of Action) to start things off. It will have your case number. If you paid by personal check ( I sure hope you did ), the case number will be printed on the cancelled check.
The date on the NOA is your priority date.
2. Some time later ( depending where you filed) you should get an appointment to have you fingerprints taken.
