No NOA ...sent N-400 on 4/28 ...check cashed on 5/4 but no NOA... what should be the next step other than waiting?

My son sent his 4/29 check cashed the following week about the same time as yours. Still waiting.
My NOA took about three weeks to arrive (when I filed my own N-400). In the meantime why don't you order a copy of the cancelled check from your bank?
I might suggest that my son does the same....

I expect that a higher than average number of people sent in their application prior to the fee increase and there is probably a bit of a backlog because of this. I wouldn't worry too much about the time.

My son received his NOA today. Hope you have yours by now. The funny thing though, although the package was postmarked 4/29 and received in Nebraska on 4/30 according to my EMS tracking service, the received date is indicated as April 29 in the relevant box.
