N-400 Country of Birth - Do I put Scotland or United Kingdom?
As the title suggest, can anyone tell me what the correct form is. My birth certificate is Scottish, but Scotland isn't recognized in most of the forms, it's usually Great Britain or United Kingdom.
Just want to avoid any delays or silliness, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The country for this purpose is United Kingdom. I'm sure you have a United Kingdom passport, not a Scottish passport?

United Kingdom. Scotland isn't a sovereign state, at least for the time being.

Thanks for your input. Like Ian says, I was born in Scotland and my birth certificate says Register of births of Scotland, no mention of UK. I'll keep it simple and use United Kingdom.

I put England on my N-400. England is a country last time I checked, so a perfectly valid answer.
