N-400 and citation
Hi all,
I'm filling my n-400 now, there's is a section about citation. I got a ticket in 2005 for not stopping at a stop sign. I paid $194 in fine and did traffic school.
1. I dont remember the day I got the ticket, how do I find out the date?
2. Does this ticket decrease my chance of getting citizenship?
Thanks
Ben

Disclose it as best you can on the N-400. put in "approx" next to the date. [I know the form filler doesn't allow that -- but there is an old style word processor still out there called a "pen". Interlineation is just fine.].
I don't think traffic tickets never stopped a naturalization except if not paid or you think that parking tickets are cost of living.
