N-400 Chicago info from USCIS
I called USCIS this week to check on my naturalization application.
They said based on my zipcode, it takes about 7 months to process the
application.
My timeline so far:
PD June 12, 2003
FP July 29, 2003
Waiting for interview date.
And they said if I do not hear anything as for the interview date by
January 2004, I should give them a call. We'll see...

I have couple of relatives who finished their N-400 recently (couple months
ago)
from the application sent to Oath took about 11 months, oath was 4-5 weeks
after the interview.
