N-400
Hello Everyone.
Here I am again in need of your help.
As I mentioned in my previous post I will be applying for naturalization in NYC at the end of July. I got my GC through marriage with USC. I got the condition removed, meanwhile unfortunately we divorced and now I am applying based on a 5 year rule.
This is what I think I need to submit, but I would appreciate if you could look at it and tell me if/what I am missing.
N-400 application
Two checks $595 and $80
Divorce documents
Pictures
Copy of my GC (both sides)
Do I need to send anything else such as maybe tax returns or marriage certificate?
I know it sounds dumb, but do people usually send a cover page explaining what’s in the package?
Is this the correct address?
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden St.
Saint Albans, Vermont 05479-9400
This seems to require a lot less evidence than if I was applying based on a 3 year rule when I was still married. I didn’t do it because I just didn’t think I needed it.
Thank you for all your input,
Steve

Re: N-400
I wouldn't think you need your divorce paperwork or marriage certificate, since you're not basing your application on your marriage to a USC.
Tax returns, yes.

It's on the USCIS site - just Google N-400 uscis and you'll get there...
