Hi folks, just a note for Russian interests: I received a reply today from the Moscow
Embassy that states their interview schedules are still on track. Apparently, they
'doubled-up' the day after they reopened. Good news for those of us with pending
interview dates soon... I live in Petaluma, CA, north of San Francisco, and am
engaged to a sweet woman from Kazan, Russia. I visited her there in late June of this
year and we have undergone the K-1 route. She is scheduled for her interview on Oct
18th. <Waiting!> The sad events of the past two weeks have thrown things a bit; she
is scared of coming to the U.S. now, though I have reassured her that northern CA is
in no danger of being attacked (at least conventionally- we have no way of knowing
what crazy terrorists might do next...) Thankfully, she is feeling better about
things and we are still on track for her interview. I'd be interested to know if any
other Kazan/Tatarstan Region fiancees and/or brides are living in the SF Bay Area. I
think it will be important for our loved ones to have some people to share their
language and experiences with. If you'd like to contact me regarding this, feel free
to email me directly: [email protected] I appreciate any information you may share!
Take care, ~Ralph Petaluma, CA
