Default Minneapolis/St.Paul as POE from China?

Is Minneapolis/St.Paul ok to be used as a POE for my fiance coming
from China or not, since they are an international airport? Or does she
have to stop on the west coast first?Since she will be staying in
Minnesota.Thanks for the help.

Craig: If they can stamp her passport, it should be fine - I suggest you call to be certain, but if that is her first entry point, I doubt they would route international passengers to any airport that doesn't support immigration (I may be wrong - so do check with them). We arrived from China in LA (where she went through immigration), then caught our connecting flight to Minneapolis.

She will be seen by immigration where she lands on entering USA. I landed in Minneapolis on way in from UK and it was a very quick procedure going through immigration. She will go through the first line of immigration booths and then because she is entering on a fiancee visa ( I assume she is!), she will be directed for secondary processing which takes all of 10 minutes, it is at this point where she asks for her visa to be stamped.
Immigration staff are very helpfull but do remind her to ask for her visa/passport to be stamped with INS authorization for employment when she sees them.
The 10 minutes kind of depends on how many other people are needing secondary processing at the same time, usually not so many.
Of course if she lands somewhere else in US first, you can disregard what I have just written!

Wow, my wife is coming from RU, but I have yet to see a flight that comes here directly from over seas. I only wish it could be that
easy. I am thinking of Chicago as a POE.

Isn't Minneapolis the hub city for Northwest/KLM? In that case, maybe
your wife could fly from Russia to Amsterdam then Amsterdam to Minneapolis.

Yeah Nicole, that's what I was going to tell him next, I flew in on NorthWest too. The KLM link up offers a lot of options for flying in from Europe.
