medicals for residency

please can anyone tell me, if and/or what medicals the us embassy need for a residency visa in the usa... ie how strict, is it as bad as aus, or just no hiv etc

I don't know how strict Oz is but you can google the immigration medical requirements.

There's no such thing as a "residency visa"... so if you could clarify exactly what visa you're after, it'd be helpful. Further, many vaccinations are age dependent, so it'd also be helpful to know how old you are.
