As others have said, you'll probably be okay on this entry. But since you mention a US girlfriend, I thought I'd point this out.

You should be careful if you try to do more of those almost 90-day visits. Especially if the time between the long visits is short. The more they see that kind of thing, the more they start to get suspicious that you're doing more than just visiting. And then you run the risk of getting denied.

Unfortunately, there's no hard and fast rule about how much time you can spend in the US and how often. It's up to the officers discretion. One rule of thumb often quoted on this forum is to spend at least as much time outside the US as inside.

By the time I make my visit, I'd have spent Jan, most of March, April, May and most of June outside the US.

It's only been most of Feb, a bit of March that I've been inside the country this year. So that'd be 5 outside, 4 inside by the time I plan to leave, and of course the rest of the year I'd be outside the country.

Comment: I keep hearing the classic recording [long version] of "Time" by the Chambers Brothers going through my head.

Query: how does time relate to the fact that weather can be a bitch and you don't like her children?

General comment that applies to EVERY case: your mileage may vary.

Further comment: yes, Socratic questioning is "cryptic" -- by definition.

Because I thought under the VWP you have to be outside the US more than inside the US within a year.

And where have I said I don't like her children? I have never said that because it is not true. We are being careful with her children, to introduce me into the family in a more cautious way so as not to hurt them.

Just trying to be as responsible and do everything by the book as much as possible in everything here.

IIRC that's the general advice on here.

Not specifically within a year. Just overall. All the time.
