Long vacation for H1
I am on H1 and working here since 20 months.I wanted to go for long
vacation probably for 4- 5 months.Will this be a problem?I mean will I face any problems at the port of entry I come here for the secong time. When the renewal for H1 should be applied? |

You may be elegible to recover this time at the end of your H1. This is in regard to the the six year limit. Record keeping might be copies of tickets, the letter mentioned above, I-94s. Then show that information to your immigration professional at renewal time. another bob (not a lawyer) |

Thnks for the response, When contacted my employer ,what I was told that the maximum period that one can be away from US is 2 months. I will be questioned at the port of entry. I do not how far this is true. thanks Tom |
