There really only is one way: find an employer who will file a petition
for you. The overall process is extremely similar to an L-1 petition.

As for what your chances are, I can't tell you. There are a lot of
individual factors that play a role here, such as what qualifications you
have, what job would be working in, etc.

But generally, as long as both the job and you meet the formal
requirements for an H-1B, and you have a competent attorney, it shouldn't
be too difficult to get one.

Default Li visa to H1 visa

Hi,

I am in L1 visa and in process of looking for a new job.Can you please
let me know the various ways to get H1 visa? Also what are the chances
of my getting a H1 visa from a new company?

Hi,

I am a systems designer here and have done B.E Computer science in
India.I specialize in Java,Websphere,EJb,JSP.I have a IBM websphere
certification.
Worked experience totally close to 5 years.

There certainly are jobs out there with this kind of requirement, but most
of them unfortunately seem to be "no sponsorship" situations. The problem
is that these are all rather run-of-the-mill skills that are currently
abundant in the USA.
