Length of time for a green card renewal
Is anyone able to advise how long it takes to process a green card renewal. I am aware status does not expire - just the card but we are being required to show a green card with more than a certain duration on and I need to understand how long it may take to get the evidence. Current card expires in about 2-3 months, so we are eligible to apply now. We are in Texas if that is important.
(I am aware the company should not need a card but if we want their service we need to comply).

Have you looked for I90 processing times listed on USCIS ? I’m not at a computer but it’s easy enough to find . The timelines are quite long now - 9-12 months to my last recollection . However , you can apply , take the renewal receipt and get an I551 stamp on your passport in lieu of the actual card once it expires, and before the next one arrives .

USCIS website suggests 4.5-12 months. I would bank on at least 8 months.

It's taking around 12-18 months in the Boston area according to friends.
You get a letter to cover you when you do biometrics. You can get a stamp in your passport if you want.
