l1a interview tomorrow
Hi everyone,
So its finally my interview tomorrow via blanket. I've read, reread and reread again through everything so really this is a final question and a thankyou.
Thankyou everyone on this forum for the help I couldn't appreciate it more - I'm definitely nervous but less nervous than I was!
Regarding my final question(s) my appointment is at 9am and from reading the threads here seems everyone gets 8am or 9am appointments. Would you suggest getting there around 8am?
I know the document says 30 minutes but I figure sooner I'm in sooner I'm seen.
Is 3 - 4 hours a realistic time frame for the process or exagerrated?
Thanks again everyone hopefully tomorrow I can say I'm on my way!
Thanks!

Re: l1a interview tomorrow
They will have queues for all those with 8am, 8.30am and 9am etc.. so a 9am is quite late so yes I would get there around 8.15am so you are near the front of your 9am queue. If you are there too early they will tell you to stand away from the gate, until they are ready to start building a queue for the 9am peeps.
It is always better to get the earlier appointments as by the time 9am comes round, there's probably 150 people already in the consulate being processed before you. I have often been in and out in an hour but another time it was nearer to 3 hours. YMMV.

Unfortunately 9 was the only one available. Current wait time is 10 days but I managed to get that in 6 days so maybe I had a cancellation. 8:15 it is. I fear I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.

I was 2.5 hours but that was a few years ago. How long did you have to wait before sending off your application to getting an interview appointment?

Approved!
I'm not sure if it would be helpful to write up my experience.
Very anti-climatic that's for sure.
2 weeks today I fly!
Thanks everyone again!
