Default J1 transfer - New visa?

I am currently a research scholar with a J1. In December I plan to get
a new visa stamp for my extended DS-2019 (valid from 01/01/07 -
12/31/07). I have a valid visa stamp to reenter before 12/31/06.

However in early 2007 (February/March), I will transfer to another
University with my J1, and I will get a new DS-2019.

Does anybody know, if the visa stamp for the "old" DS-2019 is also
valid for the "new' transfered DS-2019, or will I need a new visa stamp
anyway after the transfer to reenter the US. I frequently travel
outside the US, therefore I require usually an up-to-date visa stamp.

Thanks for any help!
