You can look for work before you get the EAD. You can go to job interviews, and you can accept employment. The only thing you can't do is sign an employment contract. You can't sign an employment contract until you have the EAD in hand.

Can u please clarify what u mean by that I can accept employment, but I cannot sign a contract?

You can verbally say "yes, I'd like to accept this job", but you can't become an employee of the company or start working until you have your EAD in hand. Don't sign an employment contract until then.

I don't think that is much of a problem since I don't ever remember signing a contract with a US employer. From what I remember, it was always verbal or else I must be getting so old that I don't remember.
