Default I've been selected in DV2003 now what?

Hello,
today I received the letter from the DV center...my number is EU36XXX.
I'm a current F1 visa holder and I from the travel.state.gov website I've
seen that the cut-off number for EU is 14,000.

Do I have any chances of getting the Green Card ? Should I fill up the paper
and sent it or should I just wait?
Should I try with an adjustment of status instead?

my number seems pretty high...before it reaches my number I think all the
greencards might be long gone...

What do you guys/girls suggest?

Thank you very much,

Marco
