International Student -> Premanent Residency
My friend has been here on International Student Visa. She would like to
stay here permanently. What is the safest and best way to procede this?
She has no intention of marriage.

Step 1: do not mention the plan to any government official.
Step 2: find a job. Have the employer sponsor an H-1B. Be aware that the
earliest the employer can file is April 1, and the earliest it can get
approved is October 1, 2005.
Step 3: have the employer sponsor her for a Green Card. This can be done
somewhat concurrently with the H-1B, but it could sometimes interfere
with her student visa.
