INS service center transfer ???

Hi guys,
I'd appreciate if someone can help me out. I have applied for a H1B transfer in october
2000 at Texas service center.
A few days ago , when i called the texas phone, i got a message stating that my case has
been moved to California Service center.
What happens to my receipt number? Does "SRC" change to "WAC" ? or will i get a new
number? or will INS use the existing number?

They usually use the same number that you've already been assigned.

The best source of answer and at the same time to verify the number, is to contact your
attorney. I won't rely on posting and etc.
