I filed my I-485 to INS in Nebraska in Nov. 2000.( My I-485 belongs to EB-2 ). I
called the customer service at the INS today and got the information that the INS
officer would send me a letter soon for additional material. The officer at the INS
customer service don't know what the additional material is and I have to wait for
the letter. I thought my lawyer had mailed the complete material. Do you know whether
it is common for the INS to ask for additional material before they approve the
I-485. What kind of additional material they will ask for? How long will I have to
wait for their approval after they receive the additional material? I would
appreciate it very much if you would give me anything information about it.
