Default Immigrant Visa Issued in Islamabad

My wife had her immigrant visa interview yesterday, she passed, visa issued in the afternoon. 8 months from the date of marriage (I-130 filed with CSC) to the issuance of the CR1. I will post full details after we return to the US next week, including the interesting embassy/interview experiences.

Congratulations!! And if you don't mind, could you also share your K3 experience and see how you guggled around both. I am sure a lot of us here would be interested in knowing that. Thanks.

I doubt if that's a big deal. I get wished Happy Hannukah every year
from my neighbors and I am not Jewish.

There are Christians in Pakistan.
And, did you notice, Christmas is also a secular holiday. After all SC
has nothing to do with JC.

That said, I have friends that wish me Happy Hanukkah, and I am not
Jewish..

My point was that it is very english thing to do - the reason is we are nation based on religion, we have all religous holidays and the Queen is the head of the Church of England. It is very english to expect everyone to be Christian. I was 28 before I met a jew, and that was in the USA.

Since when has Christmas got nothing to do with JC! I know its on the wrong date but it still the celebration of the birth of JC. SC (or Father Christmas as he is known in the UK (in Finland he is known as the Christmas Goat - whats that about)) is still based on a saint and is meant to represent the giving of gifts by the 3 kings (or wise men dependent on which bible you read).

America is not a nation founded on religion and that is why you have happy holidays. I will not get into a religious debate with you, or even a debate about Pakistan having a very small percentage of christians.

You can say Happy Hanukkah to me (and I can prove 100% that I am not jewish)

Did I make that statement? I thought I said SC (Santa Claus) had nothing
to do with JC.
My point is I don't say Merry Christmas with the thought of whether the
person is a Christian or not.
