If I could bet money
If I could bet money, I would bet that the divorce rate is higher
among marriages between american citizens vs. american citizens
marriages to non-citizens. There is no more fraud among k-1 and k-3
marriages than all the stupid reasons people marry in the states.

If there were a way to bet on this my money would be against your money.

I would tend to agree. After all, this newsgroup will probably have a
better track record, but this newsgroup is probably not a good
statistical representation of K-1/K-3 marriages in general.

I didn't mean to imply that there was no such thing as gold diggers and
yet there are, for lack of a better term, visa diggers too. The question
is which is more prevelent. Ranger says gold diggers and I say visa
diggers (assuming percentages, of course). It could be either.

If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished!

Re: If I could bet money
actually the opposite is true.
the IS has all the stats, and you'd be surprised how many divorce's happen almost immediately after the GC is issued. Hmmm.... fraud or just coincidence?
Now out of all those divorces, how many were fraud marraiges, how many were a foreigner "using" an american for a gc, etc. etc. i don't know the %. But the divorce rate is pretty pretty high. After 10 years, i read only like 10% are still married. Pretty sad.
